U.S. citizens ride a bicycle for LED power supply

According to CBS New York television station reported that when many New Yorkers gathered in Times Square to greet the new year, when 30,000 LED lights illuminate the square of the stars, in addition to the traditional power supplied to the public but also by riding a bicycle way for these LED lights supply. Government six cars "Citi Bikes" bike sharing plan included a part of the Times Square bicycle power system, passing pedestrians can go ride a few minutes to provide electricity for the square.

According to Citi Bikes spokesman Ed Skyler said the pedestrian riding around one hour to produce about 75W of power, he said:. "If everybody can do so, then the Earth will become brighter."
